What Biscuit is
Biscuit is a text-message service for two partners. Biscuit is a friendly bot, not a person. Each night it texts each of you one short question in your own separate thread, and carries a short, kind summary of each answer to the other. Biscuit's texts are drafted with the help of artificial intelligence. During early access, a person on our team reads every conversation and draft, and sends the texts.
Biscuit is not therapy, counseling, medical care, or legal advice, and it is not an emergency service. If anyone may be in danger, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or call 911. If you feel unsafe at home, call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233 or text START to 88788.
Who can use it
You must be 18 or older and have a US mobile number. Your partner must also be 18 or older and joins only by texting JOIN to our number themselves. Please don't sign up anyone who hasn't agreed to it.
Subscription and cancellation
Biscuit costs $12 per month and covers both of you. It is charged when you subscribe and on the same date each month until you cancel. Cancel any time by texting CANCEL to our number or emailing help@opendoortext.com; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. If Biscuit isn't right for you, ask for a full refund within 7 days of your first payment.
SMS terms
Program: Biscuit nightly question messages.
What you'll receive: one question a night at the time you chose, Biscuit's replies to what you send, and a short summary of your partner's answer.
Frequency: varies with how often you text; typically one to four messages a day.
Cost: message and data rates may apply.
Opt out: reply STOP at any time to stop all messages. Reply HELP for help, or email help@opendoortext.com.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Consent to receive messages is not a condition of any purchase other than this messaging service itself.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you send. You allow us to use it to provide and improve the service as described in our Privacy Policy, including passing a short summary of it to your partner.
Limits of the service
AI and people can make mistakes. Use your own judgment and seek professional help when you need it. To the extent the law allows, the service is provided as is, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 3 months.
