What we collect
From you (the person who signs up): your answers to our short questions (how long you've been together, kids at home, what you'd like more of, and similar), your partner's first name and pronoun, your first name, your mobile number, the time you'd like your question, your agreement to receive texts, payment status from our payment processor (we never see your full card number), and the messages you text Biscuit.
From your partner: nothing until they text JOIN to our number themselves. After that, their mobile number and the messages they text Biscuit. We never text your partner first.
Usage data: which ad brought you here, which steps you reached and when, your multiple-choice answers, your device, browser and screen size, your approximate location (state and city, from your IP address), and browser identifiers set by Meta's ad tools. Our usage log never keeps names or phone numbers.
How we use it
To send each of you a question each night, to write Biscuit's replies, to carry a short, kind summary of each answer to the other person, to keep the service safe, and to improve it. Your answers and messages are processed by our AI provider to draft Biscuit's texts. During early access, a person on our team reads every conversation and every draft, and sends the texts.
What your partner sees
Your partner does not see your answers word for word. Biscuit passes along a short summary of the good part, and now and then one kind line in your own words. Biscuit does not pass along blame, complaints, anything sexual, or anything you ask to keep private. The same applies to what you see of your partner's answers.
What we never do
We don't sell your information. We never send advertising platforms your answers, what you write, your names, or your phone numbers. When you pay, we tell Meta that a purchase happened, with browser identifiers (cookie IDs, IP address, browser type) so we can measure our ads. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Who processes data for us
Payments: Stripe. Messaging: Google Voice (our texts come from a Google Voice number) and your carrier's SMS. AI: Anthropic, reached through Vercel. Hosting and our usage log: Vercel. Ad measurement: Meta. Each processes data only to provide its part of the service.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while we run and improve the service. We keep payment records and the record of your agreement to receive texts as the law requires. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your choices
Reply STOP to stop messages. Text DELETE or email help@opendoortext.com to delete your conversation history. Either of you can stop at any time without the other stopping.
